The Opportunity

As the Regional General Manager, you will ensure that all sales and aftersales objectives are met and exceeded, along with CSI and SSI objectives for Southern Region (VIC and TAS). You will lead and oversee dealer operations across sales, marketing, parts, and service, while building and developing a high-performing team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will collaborate closely with HMCA Management and external stakeholders to deliver on both regional and company-wide objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure annual Retail (including regional assisted) and Wholesale targets are achieved for the region
  • Ensure a correct wholesale mix to maximizing HMCA profit, ensuring budget compliance, and to establish and manage Dealer targets
  • Monitor Market & Dealer activity daily, while managing profitability sales for the Region, within HMCA policies & procedures
  • Identify individual and group sales opportunities while developing skills and abilities of Regional, Area Sales Managers and Fleet managers
  • Balance DAC budget against plan versus actual, while critically evaluating Dealer and Agency Marketing Plans
  • Work closely with the National Retail Manager on NSW opportunities and regional specific strategies to maximize enquiry opportunity
  • Regularly liaise with the General Manager Service for overall reporting as well as strategy planning for National and Regional
  • Develop the skills and abilities of Regional and Area After Sales Managers and assist with action and target plans on Regional and Dealer CSI
  • Ensure Dealer coverage of the Region and ensure that the PMAs have viable representation to ensure that the shares are maximized
  • Review, report, and action Dealer profitability and ensure that Dealer facilities’ representation is according to CI standards - appearance and size

About You

You have the below skills and experience and are passionate about progressing your career with an innovative and dynamic automotive brand.

  • 5-7 years’ experience in automotive across sales, aftersales and fleet. 5+ years' experience as a people manager. 
  • Strong understanding of Dealership Operations across Sales and Aftersales. 
  • Background in people management including leading day-to-day operations, supervising, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team across Sales, Aftersales, Fleet and Logistics.  
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
