The Opportunity

As the Tax & Management Accountant Manager you will perform a series of tasks to ensure the company’s financial security, handling all financial matters and helping to drive the business’s overall management and strategy. Your main responsibilities include managing all Taxation matters for HMCA, managing cashflow and treasury, insurance renewals and maintenance, payroll approval and backup. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the company’s tax return, GST returns, FBT returns, State payroll tax returns and group tax
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Management Accounting team
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Meet accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyse variances, and initiative corrective actions
  • Monitor and analyse data and produce financial reports and or statements
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, and recommending new procedures
  • Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collecting, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data, and preparing special reports
  • Manage the cash flow management, commercial bills, and foreign exchange transactions
  • Manage the insurance program for HMCA, including renewals, risk policies and claim responsibilities
  • Determine problematic areas, gathered from analyzing information, and develop ways to correct them
  • Supervise and take ownership of the audit and maintenance of retail, manual and demonstrator bonuses

About You

You have the below skills and experience and are passionate about progressing your career with an innovative and dynamic automotive brand.

  • You have a tertiary qualification or diploma in accounting or finance with CPA/CA qualification.
  • You have 3 years people management experience with 4 years’ experience in tax and management accounting.   
  • You have advanced Excel skills (Formulas, VLOOKUP’s, PivotTables) with experience in data reporting and management.
  • You have a high attention to detail with strong planning and prioritisation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You have taxation experience for all direct and indirect tax.
  • You thrive in a team setting and can run and develop a high performing team to meet company objectives.
