The Opportunity
As The Product Planning Coordinator you will play a critical role in supporting the product lifecycle by managing product carlines and coordinating activities related to product planning, market analysis, and project management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and supply chain to ensure product offerings align with strategic objectives and market needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day departmental administration and ensuring smooth operational workflows within the product planning function.
Key Responsibilities
- Under guidance from the Product Planning Manager - promote the sales, profitability and customer satisfaction of current and future Hyundai models by the development of optimal model business cases in terms of specifications, pricing, grade walks, variant mixes, showroom logic and overall competitiveness
- Consult with key stakeholders within Sales, Marketing and Aftersales divisions to receive input and requirements essential to the development of business cases
- Conduct physical specification audits for all new, facelift and model year change variants against specification sheets and product planning communications
- Collate Technical data for launches (specification sheet / model variant summary)
- Prepare Product Value Analysis, market research analysis and VFACTS Power BI sheets reporting as required
- Monitor the Australian and other key global markets for important information on new models and variants
- Preparation of new model/specification change reports (walk-up & across)
- Present your market research and proposals via PowerPoint to key stakeholders of the business
- Provides analytical support to all members of the Product Planning Team - delivering timely reports, accurate data and effective administration to support the development of sales volumes, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives
About You
You have the below skills and experience and are passionate about progressing your career in Product Planning with an innovative and dynamic automotive brand.
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role or in the automotive industry is desirable.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- You have strong Excel skills with experience working with stakeholders to collate data and generate reports. Experience with competitor market analysis is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, and an ability to thrive in a creative, deadline-driven environment.
