The Opportunity

As the ICT Network/Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of HMCA’s networks, organising, installing, and supporting the organisation’s computer systems, encompassing LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.


Your key responsibilities are:

  • Manage and maintain the systems, business specific applications, and systems and network infrastructures

  • Ensure adequate data protection measures are in place and that these are tested on a regular basis

  • Monitor daily administration and troubleshooting for computer equipment, servers, LAN/WAN, Cloud Solutions Including Azure and AWS and provide hands-on troubleshooting support as required

  • Investigate and provide technical advice on the implementation of new technologies and systems as required

  • Develop and maintain systems and processes for the efficient rollout of software and configuration across HMCA’s network

  • Communicate relevant information to key stakeholders within the organization

  • Install and maintain network AV programs and firewalls

  • Perform and verify data backup and perform tests to ensure that the data is intact and correct

  • Develop strategies and introduce improvements to enhance server, system, and network performance

  • Manage Wi-Fi access points throughout the facility

  • Configure databases and access, and deploy server upgrades to enhance performance

  • Ensure overall IT systems stability and provide consulting and leadership on highly technical issues and projects

  • Ensure that the core server Operating system SOE Images are updated and align to HMCA Security Standards

  • Manage specific IT projects including the roll out of global IT programs as required

  • Setup, coordinate and administer local technical service desk and support operation

  • Manage telecommunications (fixed and mobile) and audio-visual (AV) systems, meeting room setup and network technologies and protocols

  • Ensure necessary training, education and support is provided to end users

  • Manage, maintain, improve and strengthen relationships with vendors

About You

Passionate: You are interested in the automotive industry and eager to learn and grow your career in Network/System administration. You have at least 3 years’ experience in a System administrator role. 

Team-Player: You thrive in a team environment and are able to efficiently work to multiple deadlines and request from colleagues and stakeholders. 

You have experience with the below: 

  • Windows Server (2008 - 2022), VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon VDI
  • Networking Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Microsoft Technologies experience with Microsoft Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and M365 support and management
  • Proficiency in VMware, Cisco, and Microsoft Technologies. and Fortinet Next Gen Firewalls
  • Active Directory proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Services
  • Knowledge and experience in Backup and Data Recovery practices.
