The Opportunity

As the Finance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting day to day financial and operational functions for our luxury brand, Genesis. You will have the opportunity to work on financial accounting and business analysis, providing support to the business manager with a focus on accurately and efficiently completing transactional tasks, improving transactional efficiency, and preparing data driven insights to support the operation of the business. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

• Process financial transactions including accounts receivable (banking, refunds, invoices, and payment reconciliations) and routine general ledger journals for Genesis business.
• Assist the business with data accuracy by being proactive in your practices and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and promoting a continuous improvement mindset. 
• Advise on risks and process improvement opportunities within the financial transaction processes.
• Assist with the month-end close processes including processing journals, reporting and reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budget preparation in collaboration with the Genesis Business Manager.  Involving the upload and confirmation of the budget in SAP and internal online system. 

Business Analysis

• Support various analysis tasks for the Genesis operational teams and as directed by Genesis Business Manager
• Manage the reporting for Gross margin by Vin for New cars, Company cars and Trade in vehicles
• Support the Genesis Business Manager pricing analysis processes such as New Car and Used Car
• Support the Genesis Business Manager ongoing process improvement opportunities and development of financial models as required

Key Relationships 

• Genesis Showcases (Australia-wide): Collaborate with retail teams nationally to help drive sales targets
• Sales Operations and Go-To-Market (GTM) Team: Coordinate to ensure a seamless ownership experience and drive customer satisfaction.

About You

You have the below skills and experience and are looking to progress your career in finance with an innovative autmotive brand. 

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA or currently studying towards CPA is highly desirable. 
• You have a data driven mindset with experience in data management in Excel and with financial reporting. Experience with SAP is highly desirable. 
• You can plan your task to meet regular monthly reporting cycles as well as manage urgent ad hoc request when needed. 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
