The Opportunity

Due to an internal role change, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. As the Hyundai Business Manager you will be responsible for the efficient running of Hyundai Motor Company Australia's operational accounts including every day duties such as pricing, balance sheets, ledgers, reporting and advice management on budgets, forecasts and planning. This role requires you to have a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to integrating systems, processes and procedures, extracting cost efficiencies and driving margins across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end processes including preparing of P& L and balance sheets including balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete detailed analysis, reviewing and presenting reports, and presenting these to key stakeholders
• Calculate and review sales costing for products and provide analysis on sales prices and present to key stakeholders
• Calculate and report on month end incentive accrual and provision processing
• Report on profit and loss by FSC
• Report on profit and loss by Model / VIN for internal use, including incentives by model reporting
• Report on operational profit and loss by buyer type Model and VIN
• Report and present on sales operations/marketing expenditure (including by model)
• Provide departmental reporting for other departments, i.e. Network Development, Parts, etc.
• Compare actual incentives against budgets and approval forms and provide feedback
• Present to operational teams with feedback and recommendations and present report to key stakeholders
• Prepare Hyundai Annual budgets
• Calculate incentive requirements for budgets and forecasts
• Compare finance incentive budgets vs operational submission
• Provide feedback and recommendations on variances in incentives
• Automate calculation of actual incentives to be accrued, including dealer stock provision
• All Hyundai Pricing tasks (review, set up, bulletins and budgeting)
• Production order review, set up and variance reconciliation

About You

You have the below skills and experience and are passionate about progressing your career in Finance with an innovative and dynamic automotive brand.

• Bachelor’s in accounting or similar field with CPA or CA qualification.  
• 5+ years’ experience in financial accounting with experience ideally within a commercial environment.
• 2+ years’ experience developing and coaching direct reports.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with experience working with month-end processes, pricing and P&L.   
• Strong data-driven thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to leverage data to support decisions and influence stakeholders. 
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams likes Sales Operations, Product Planning and Fleet to achieve overall business strategy and outcomes.
