The Opportunity

In collaboration with the Manager, the Assistant Manager for Strategic Partnerships at HMCA plays a key role in formulating and implementing the Strategic Partnership strategy. This pivotal position encompasses establishing relationships with various entities within the charging infrastructure sector, such as charging station manufacturers, energy providers, software developers, and OEMs. 

This position plays a crucial role in accelerating our transformation into a smart Mobility Solution Provider by strengthening HMCA's market presence, fostering the growth and adoption of electric vehicle sales across Australia.


Partnerships & Strategy

  • Develop and manage the strategy in collaboration with the Manager to implement the Strategic Partnership plan, aiming to boost and solidify Hyundai's position as a leader in the industry.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partners within the charging infrastructure industry, including but not limited to charging station manufacturers, energy providers, software developers, and OEMs.
  • Initiate and lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial partnerships, including joint ventures, collaborations, and strategic alliances.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner organisations, including executives, decision-makers, and technical teams
  • Make recommendations and consult with Manager for development of partnership agreements, outlining terms, rights and benefits, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure successful outcomes for the partnerships.  
  • Identify, analyse and review existing and potential Partnership opportunities that align with the overall strategy. 
  • Embed partnerships as a consideration amongst all internal stakeholders to ensure strategic partnerships are considered across all touchpoints
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new partnership opportunities and stay ahead of the curve
  • Regularly review competitor partnerships, analyse market trends, and industry developments to identify new partnership opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Represent Hyundai at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Hyundai’s brands. 

Partnerships Account Management

  • Oversee management and utilisation of contractual benefits, through development of annual leveraging plans to maximise benefits
  • Identify and develop joint venture opportunities in line with mutual strategies and objectives 
  • Update key marketing departments including Product, Media, Digital and PR of strategic partnership activities and assess opportunities for amplification 
  • Regularly review owned channels, which include websites and brochures, to ensure that information is accurate and reflects the brand guidelines.

Stakeholder Management 

  • Primary contact for all Strategic Partnerships across the HMCA business. 
  • Manage and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders and the wider marketing team.
  • Update the Corporate Affairs team for all strategic partnership related projects and work closely with the team to identify opportunities for amplification. 

Business and Administrative Management  

  • Collaborate with Manager for all budget planning, reporting and reconciliation. 
  • Create and implement core reporting systems to analyse and review partnerships and event activities and provide recommendations.  
  • Manage all Partnership Contract agreements.
  • Prepare and submit expenditure records, Purchase Orders, approvals and submissions

About You

Passionate: You are interested in the automotive industry and are passionate about innovation and technology especially with hydrogen and electric vehicles. You hold a business degree or equivalent and have 3 years’ experience in partnerships. 
Collaborator: You have strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams. Experience with B2B sales is highly desirable. 
Organised: you have strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a complex and high-pressure environment.
