The Opportunity

As the Accessories Development Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating and assisting with the accessory development process. You will prepare product development plans for external stakeholders (including engineering teams) and plan the accessory range for each model line. This role provides technical and engineering support for R&D and Engineering contractors, validates marketing materials, and produces internal product guides. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products are high-quality and align with market trends and customer needs.

This is a newly created role due to the growth of our brand! 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee, update, and maintain the accessories portfolio and online database
• Collaboratively with Engineering, facilitate and coordinate the accessories development plan to align with vehicle launch activities 
• Manage all relevant stakeholders including vehicle transportation logistics, production, and supply of accessories fitment activities
• Together with Aftersales Marketing, Product Planning and Go-To-Market validate, approve and check all accessory content for online, printed, and soft copy communication channels
• Conduct regular and consistent market research to keep the department informed on the best practices and latest trends within the market
• Forecasting and planning of accessories for new vehicle launches
• Provide technical and engineering input for the development of new model accessories with our parts and accessories suppliers
• Assist with special research & development (R&D) projects to support the development of new accessories
• Support the preparation of Accessories Development vehicles for new model launches
   

About You

You have the below skills and experience and are looking to develop your career in automotive with an innovative brand. 

• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics)
• Ability to assist with installation of accessories for validation and sign-off 
• 1-2 years’ experience in the automotive industry or a strong desire to develop your skills in this field. 
• Intermediate technical writing and engineering documentation skills
• Full unrestricted driver’s licence.
