The Opportunity

As the Product and Process Trainer for Northern Region, you will provide high quality product and sales process training to our Dealer network that directly supports building and developing improved Dealer capability via improved product knowledge and sales processes. 

 

Process training includes working with regional staff in shared dealer visits and implementing development plans via training and development strategies. Training sessions can be conducted at Dealerships, utilising Webinars or at a Regional Office in face to face and online formats. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan, develop, and deliver training for dealership staff, which would include face to face training (in dealership and from central location) and online training/webinar formats. 
  • Develop quarterly training plan that align with HMCA sales and marketing strategy and supports Regional General Manager’s regional plan.
  • Prepare appropriate training materials, develop instructional content, determine methodology, and coordinate the integration of HMCA systems
  • Conduct dealer training needs assessments to understand characteristics and skill levels of learners, the job setting to identify processes and tasks performed by staff
  • Conduct classroom or web-based training sessions using effective presentation skills, verbal communication skills and classroom management skills
  • Maintain high level of product knowledge (includes competitive data) and be a ‘go-to’ for specific Dealership inquiries
  • Coordinate training schedules, dates, and logistics as well as maintain all training systems and databases related to product training
  • Creation of quarterly regional dealer training plan each quarter, approved by National Sales Training Manager, and Regional General Manager

 

Key relationships

  • You are reporting to the Senior Manager, National Training
  • This position interacts with several other departments including Marketing, Sales, Finance, external vendors to consult on various aspects of business development.
  • This role will be servicing the Northern Region will could require interstate traveling to support the Western and Central Regions (once per quarter).

About You

You have the below skills and experience with a passion for training and developing people.

 

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Passion for the automotive industry and Hyundai’s innovative products 
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment is desirable. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present training face-to-face and virtually 
  • Previous sales experience within automotive is highly desirable
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel interstate when needed
