The Opportunity

The Junior Workshop Technician plays a fundamental role in supporting the workshop operations, ensuring the high-quality servicing and maintenance of Genesis vehicles. The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on assistance in performing routine services, basic diagnostics, and vehicle inspections under supervision, supporting the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.

Vehicle Servicing & Maintenance 

• Assist with routine servicing and basic maintenance tasks on Genesis vehicles.

• Support senior technicians in performing diagnostic checks and vehicle inspections.

• Carry out basic repairs and part replacements as directed.

• Ensure proper documentation of work performed is upkept in service records.

• Regularly maintain a clean and organised workspace to support and facilitate workshop efficiency.

• Working with the team to continuously develop technical skills and learn more advanced tasks.

Customer Support & On Site Service 

• Assist in the coordination of Genesis-To-You (GTY) vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs for servicing.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding vehicle status and minor service updates.

• Support service loan vehicle management, including vehicle inspections and preparation

Workshop Operations & Administration

• Assist with organising parts and tools inventory, ensuring required components and supplies are available and replenished as needed.

• Prepare and submit service reports, ensuring accuracy in work orders.

• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment.

• Identify and report potential safety hazards or technical issues to senior staff

This role is based in Parramatta. 

About You

Qualification > You must have a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Automotive.

Licenses > You must have a valid drivers license

• Entry-level experience in a workshop environment
• Exposure to vehicle diagnostics and servicing is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of vehicle servicing and maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong willingness to learn, demonstrating initiative.
