The Opportunity

As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a key role in monitoring and managing all supply chain activities from an operational perspective.  You will carry out analysis of demand and production in a rapidly changing supply chain environment to proactively suggest improvements to maximize opportunities and mitigate foreseeable risks.  


You will ensure all GMAu’s production orders are submitted, built and shipped to achieve overall volume and financial objectives. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify any immediate or mid to long term impact on production, allocations, and supplies with respect to production changes in the supply chain and suggest corrective actions or counter measures.
  • Provide supply chain related reports such as SSRD, production orders, stock in pipe and other required reports to all stakes holders in timely manner to support and enable other business units and departments to work with GMAu’s stock level and supply projections.  
  • Rebalance inventory to agreed days of supply benchmarks for all regions and GMAu at all stages of supply chain.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure all model lines are managed accurately and effectively in SAP system and share production timings and volume projection.
  • Seek to improve all aspects of the Vehicle Ordering process of the department including Outlet BTO orders by reviewing current methodology and processes.
  • Identify volume opportunities and risks by model and by region to make recommendations to the business on production order volume, ensuring business maintain healthy stock level through entire pipeline of supply chain including backorders.
  • Consider the implications of product launches, product EOL, tactical inventory correction production orders to establish a clear view of future supply.
  • Act as key supply chain contact for product launch processes (PLIC) including managing initial stock and demonstrator allocations.
     

About You

You have the below skills and experience with a passion to develop your career with an innovative luxury brand. 

  • 2+ years experience in supply chain and logistics. Automotive experience is desirable but not essential. 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to multiple and often conflicting deadlines. 
  • Strong internal/external stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with external suppliers and vendors. 
  • Intermediate Excel skills with experience in data management and reporting.
