The Opportunity
The purpose of the Parts Operations Assistant Manager role is to manage the business operations relationship between our key parts supplier and Genesis (GMAu), with focus on supply levels, assistance and freight effectiveness. This role will also manage the Purchasing and Logistics of the Genesis owned inventory, including all Port Installation Options, merchandise and special projects. Additionally, this role will provide strategic recommendations regarding price positioning and business outlook, taking into consideration demand, opportunity within competitive markets, the product life cycle, and sustainability.
Parts Operations
- Create and run programs to boost Parts and Accessories Sales.
- Manage projects and campaigns to support Aftersales service and parts business.
- Help management with planning, budgeting, and setting targets by area.
- Set and share prices, discounts, and rebates clearly.
- Meet sales targets for Parts and Accessories set by management.
- Follow GMAu policies for parts and accessories operations.
Retail Support Operations
- Make sure all sites have enough Genesis stock for building vehicles.
- Help the service network with supply needs and planning.
- Keep track of systems for vehicle sales and parts.
Content and Accessory Operations
- Oversee the research, development, and pricing of Genuine Accessories & Merchandise.
- Manage the accessory and merchandise selection for competitiveness and sales.
- Find and assess new product ideas and prepare them for approval.
- Handle production, stock, and logistics to keep products available and manage stock levels.
- Meet sales targets for Accessories & Merchandise set by management.
- Work with Marketing to improve visibility and content for accessories and merchandise.
- Manage marketing materials to ensure they are accurate and consistent.
- Help organise logistics for marketing campaigns and events.
Reporting and Analysis
- Use data to provide insights on market changes and competition for business decisions.
- Gather market price data for parts and accessories.
About You
- Automotive Experience: Previous experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
- Customer Focus: Strong focus on customer needs, aligning with the key vision and mission of Genesis.
- Problem-Solving and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse issues and think strategically to provide solutions.
- Planning and Execution: Capable of taking initiative and executing plans effectively.
- Confidence with Presentations: Ability to present ideas and information with confidence.
