The Opportunity

As the Workshop Technician you will be responsible for performing a broad range of technical tasks, including advanced diagnostics, EV repairs, and case management. You will play a fundamental role in enhancing customer experience and ensuring the delivery of Genesis' premium service standards.

 

This is a Monday - Friday role with no weekend work. If you are a qualified automotive technician looking to progress your career with an innovative luxury brand, this is the role for you! 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with routine servicing and basic maintenance tasks on Genesis vehicles.
  • Conduct detailed vehicle diagnostics, including electrical, mechanical, and software-based troubleshooting, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV), including high-voltage systems.
  • Follow service schedules and repair procedures to ensure proper repairs are carried out.
  • Test vehicle performance to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Communicate technical issues effectively to team members, ensuring a clear understanding of required repairs and solutions.
  • Assist with organising parts and tools inventory, ensuring required components and supplies are available and replenished as needed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of workshop efficiency and best practices.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment by utilising workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively.

About You

You have the below skills and experience with a passion to develop your career with a luxury automotive brand.

  • You have a Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification. Additional qualifications with EV or Hybrid vehicle repair is desirable. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in an automotive workshop with experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing and repairs. 
  • Strong time management skills with ability to work collaboratively with the wider Aftersales team. 
  • Valid drivers license.
